More information and background:

Drones for peace? Ja tak 🙂 This gathering is to show support for the non-violent use and development of drone technology. Drones for peace – not for war!

The gathering will take place outside of the International Drone Show (https://internationaldroneshow.com/) outside the Hans Christian Andersen airport near Odense in Beldringe, Denmark (Lufthavnvej 131, 5270 Odense N). We meet twice: from 9:00-11:00 on the 3rd, and again from 9:00-11:00 on the 4th of June, 2026. Participants are welcome to join for either or both days.

We can help you with transportation – send a direct message for details. And the airport is also a nice bike ride from Odense.

We will provide drinks, snacks, and signs with messages of peace on them.

There will be interested people, drone engineers, and citizens, as well as these organizations coming together:

*International Socialists Denmark

*Socialist Youth Front

*Never More War

For the past several years, drone research and use in Denmark has been for peaceful, civilian purposes such as farming, infrastructure inspection, and medical transportation. But now, our government wants us to turn our technologies of peace into technologies of violence. They are investing heavily in “defense”, with 5% of Denmark’s GDP going towards military and dual-use technologies. Meanwhile, all Danish universities are enrolled as part of the National Defense Technology Center (NFC) – without the consent of the employees or students.

With this gathering, we will show that not all drone users, developers, researchers, students, and citizens support the violent use of drones. We reject the militarization of our work and study place – and of our society more broadly. We support diplomacy, de-escalation, disarmament – and investments in peace.

We hope you will join us in supporting drones for peace!
